Christmas Movie-Inspired Treats for Family Movie Night
published November 29, 2022; updated October 2025
If you ask me, Christmas movies are one of the biggest highlights of the season. It always feel extra magical to watch a movie when the Christmas tree lights on, chunky cozy blankets are all over the living room, and of course, the smell of something sweet to enjoy while you all snuggle up on the couch!
When do you usually start your Christmas movie marathons?
I know there’s a push for Christmas as early as October, but I honestly remember when it was right after Thanksgiving that all of the festive things would begin. You’d see Santa in the parade, and then it was officially time to watch those holiday movies! But things have shifted, and Christmas seems to start earlier now (though, as much as I try to stay in the season, putting on Christmas movies in November has become the norm in our home)
Even if you love watching movies early but find yourself craving a little more slowness during the holiday season, you’ll love my post on Celebrating Christmas with 90s Traditions—all about bringing back those simple joys, like the movie marathons that used to run on TV!
Alright, enough reminiscing for now! Let’s dive into our Movie-Inspired Treats Round-up! These treats are perfect for your next Christmas movie night, a holiday classroom party, or a Christmas-themed birthday party for your little one. These recipes are the perfect way to make it extra special. They’re fun, festive, and totally kid-approved!
