Simple Thanksgiving Crafts for Kids
I always love having little festive crafts around that my kids have made. There’s just something about seeing their creations on display that makes the holidays feel extra fun. Since they were toddlers and preschoolers, we were constantly crafting up a storm for every season and holiday, and it’s become one of my favorite traditions.
Today, I’m sharing a roundup of easy Thanksgiving crafts for kids that are fun, simple, and don’t require a lot of supplies. These are perfect if you’re homeschooling preschool, looking for toddler Thanksgiving crafts, or just need a few fun Thanksgiving activities for kids to keep them busy while you prep the big meal. Plus, they double as sweet, homemade décor to cozy up your home all through November. You can even gift some of these keepsake crafts—like the handprint turkeys—to grandparents when they visit, giving them a sweet little memory to take home!

My Always-On-Hand Craft Supplies for Kids
Okay, truthfully… the only reason I can pull out a craft at the drop of a hat is because I keep a bin of basics tucked away. It doesn’t need to be fancy, just the good old staples. Here’s my list (and I’ll link budget-friendly options if you want to stock your own):
Construction paper (the big rainbow pack that lasts forever)
White cardstock (for printables and sturdier crafts)
Washable paints + brushes
Glue sticks + liquid glue (kids have strong opinions, so I keep both)
Safety scissors for the kids + one sharp pair for mom
Googly eyes (a must in my craft box, variety of sizes, the sticker ones are *best*!)
Pom poms & pipe cleaners (a giant bag lasts all forever)
Markers and crayons (nothing fancy)
Paper plates (white)
Brown paper lunch bags
Zip bags (to collect all the extra pieces before they take over the junk drawer); the extra-large size ones are awesome to keep around for random things!
